The kingdom opens once more! King Richard’s Faire 2025, New England’s 44th season of Renaissance fun, runs from August 30 through October 19, 2025. This year brings exciting news—the faire will be held at a brand-new site on the scenic grounds of Edaville Railroad, 5 Pine Street, Carver, Massachusetts.

Known as the largest and longest-running Renaissance Festival in New England, King Richard’s Faire transports guests to a 16th-century village alive with pageantry, knights in armor, artisans, and endless entertainment.

🗓 Dates, Hours & Admission

  • Dates: Weekends (Saturdays & Sundays) from August 30 – October 19, 2025
    ➜ Including Labor Day (Sept 1) & Columbus/Indigenous Peoples Day (Oct 13)
  • Hours: Gates open 10:30 AM – close 6:00 PM
  • Admission:
    • Adults (12+) – $46
    • Children (4–11) – $26
    • Children 3 & under – Free

Step inside the kingdom and you’ll find nonstop entertainment across the fairegrounds:

  • Full-Contact Jousting – Knights on horseback clash three times daily in the tournament arena.
  • Eight Stages of Shows – Featuring acrobats, fire-eaters, comedians, aerialists, puppeteers, dancers, and more.
  • The Mud Pit – Hilarious, interactive shows in a classic fan-favorite arena.
  • Street Performers – Villagers, jesters, and minstrels roaming the lanes to keep the magic alive.

With rotating acts, every weekend offers something new.

Each weekend adds extra excitement with special themes and contests. Examples include:

  • 👮 Salute to Safety – Celebrating first responders.
  • 🧙 Fandom Weekends – Featuring costume parades and fantasy tie-ins like Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings.
  • ☠️ Legends of Lore – Pirate invasions, mythical adventures, and fantasy quests.
  • 👕 Men in Kilts – A playful competition for ages 18+.

Themes give visitors even more reasons to dress up and join the fun.


🛍 Marketplace & Artisan Village

The bustling lanes of King Richard’s Faire are home to hundreds of artisan vendors offering unique creations:

  • Jewelry, period clothing, and leather goods
  • Armor, weaponry, and blacksmithing pieces
  • Ceramics, glasswork, and woodcrafts
  • Perfumes, oils, henna tattoos, and fantasy face painting

Many artisans also perform live craft demonstrations such as forging, glass-blowing, and sword-making—perfect for those who love to see history in action.

🚗 Location & Parking

The 2025 season welcomes guests to its new home at Edaville Railroad in Carver, MA.

  • Free on-site parking is included.
  • Handicap-accessible parking near the main gate (with valid identification).
  • Overflow lots & shuttles available on busy days.
  • 🚫 No street parking allowed in nearby neighborhoods.

Carver is located just 45 miles south of Boston and 15 miles west of Plymouth, making it an easy day trip from across New England.
