Kentucky Highland Renaissance Festival 2026
From May 30th to July 19th, 2026, the charming town of Eminence, Kentucky will once again transform into the mythical village of Briarwood for the Kentucky Highland Renaissance Festival — a beloved celebration of medieval life, Scottish heritage, and fantasy that delights visitors year after year. Every Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (rain or shine), the gates of the Kentucky Renaissance Fair swing open to welcome adventurers, nobles, and peasants alike.
A Journey Back to the Time of Robert the Bruce
Set in a fictional 14th-century Scottish village, the festival invites guests to wander cobblestone paths, cheer at thrilling jousting and armored combat, and laugh along with street performers and actors from troupes like the Briarwood Players and Minions of Mischief. The entire fair buzzes with energy — from Celtic music and faerie tales to colorful themed weekends such as Pirate, Viking, and Highland celebrations.
Live Entertainment, Craftsmanship, and Merriment
Beyond the jousts and reenactments, visitors can explore an artisan marketplace filled with handcrafted treasures — from blacksmithing and glassblowing to leatherwork and weaving.
