Denmark Iowa Renaissance Faire 2026

The Denmark Iowa Renaissance Faire returns to southeast Iowa on October 31–November 1, 2026, bringing pirate characters, historical encampments, stage entertainment, and artisan vendors to its grounds near Denmark. The Halloween weekend event combines Renaissance themes with living history and activities for families.

⚔️ Pirates, Historical Encampments, and Entertainment

The rivalry between the Royal Pirates and the Guardians shapes the weekend’s entertainment, with dance battles adding a theatrical twist to their struggle for control of the kingdom. The Pirate King and Queen of the Royal Rogues and Renegades join the festivities alongside the Guardians of the Black Forest and Viking reenactors.

The event features three performance stages and three interactive living-history camps. Visitors can explore the encampments, meet costumed characters, and watch sword fights and axe battles. Highland Games are also part of the faire’s activities.

Costumes are encouraged, including Renaissance clothing, Scottish-inspired outfits, pirate costumes, and other genres. Visitors can take part in the setting simply by dressing for the occasion.

Artisan Vendors, Food, and Drinks

Around three dozen vendors are advertised for the event, offering opportunities to browse between performances and visits to the camps. Food and beverages are available on-site.

The grounds occupy private land with wooded areas and waterside spaces, giving the event a setting away from town streets. Visitors are encouraged to wear closed-toe shoes and remain within the designated public areas.

The visitor parking address is 502 Academy Avenue, Denmark, IA 52624, next to Star Park at the former Denmark Elementary School site. Transportation is provided between the parking area and the faire.

The event grounds are located at 3265 Old Quarry Road, Wever, IA 52658. The grounds include a hill and stairs, which visitors with limited mobility should consider when planning their visit.
