Taking place October 25–26 and November 1–2, 2025, this beloved annual event transforms the park’s scenic groves into a bustling 16th-century village filled with knights, pirates, fairies, and noble royals.
Whether you dream of sword fights and quests, or simply crave a good turkey leg and a pint of mead, this faire has something for everyone.
⚔️ A Living Storybook of Knights, Pirates, and Peasants
The Escondido Renaissance Faire brings the Elizabethan world to life through immersive experiences, thrilling entertainment, and colorful characters. From the moment you enter, you’ll encounter guilds sharing tales of adventure, musicians filling the air with medieval melodies, and vendors from faraway lands offering their crafted treasures and delicious wares.
Visitors are encouraged to dress in costume — whether as a peasant, pirate, or fairy — and join in the fun. Many guests even take part in the Queen’s Quest, an interactive scavenger hunt that might just earn you the honor of knighthood.
🏇 Jousts, Battles & Spectacles of Courage
No Renaissance faire would be complete without the clash of steel and the roar of the crowd! The jousting tournaments are a highlight of the event, featuring brave knights competing for royal favor and ultimate glory. Spectators can also enjoy full-contact combat reenactments involving dozens of fighters in authentic armor, as well as archery contests and battle pageants that showcase skill, strategy, and sheer spectacle.
Across the faire’s dual stages, entertainers perform all day long — from storytellers and dancers to comedy troupes and minstrels who keep the laughter flowing and the music lively.
🍗 Feasting, Shopping & Merriment
Between shows, explore the bustling marketplace, where artisans sell handcrafted goods including clothing, jewelry, weapons, and musical instruments. Food stalls tempt visitors with turkey legs, BBQ, meat pies, ice cream, and other festival favorites, while taverns serve beer, ale, mead, and wine for those wishing to toast the Queen.
