Kentucky Highland Renaissance Festival 2027

The Kentucky Highland Renaissance Festival returns to Eminence, Kentucky, on Saturdays and Sundays from June 5 through July 25, 2027. Set in the fictional Scottish village of Briarwood, the festival draws its historical inspiration from the early 14th century during the reign of Robert the Bruce.

The season covers eight weekends and 16 opening days. Opening hours are 10:00 AM–7:00 PM each day, and the event operates rain or shine.

🏰 The Village of Briarwood

Briarwood provides the setting for the festival’s Scottish identity, taking its inspiration from Scotland in 1320. The permanent festival grounds occupy former farmland in Eminence, in Henry County.

The venue is located at 955 Elm Street, Eminence, KY 40019, on Kentucky Highway 22. Its position between Louisville, Lexington, and Cincinnati makes it accessible from several regional cities.

Visitor Information

Costumes are welcome but optional. Costume swords must remain sheathed and secured with a peace tie, and they are checked at the entrance.

Visitors wishing to leave and return on the same day should obtain a hand stamp before exiting. The festival grounds are accessible to visitors with disabilities.

Food and drinks are sold on site. Although outside food and drinks are generally prohibited, the venue permits a sealed bottle of water or Gatorade and personal water bottles or jugs, subject to inspection. A water fountain is available.
