⚔️ A Royal Tale of Conspiracy and Courage
The year is 1606, one year after the infamous Gunpowder Plot, when Guy Fawkes and his co-conspirators nearly succeeded in blowing up the King and Parliament. Seeking distraction from courtly turmoil, King James I and his court journey to the countryside — but peace is elusive.
Rumors swirl of another assassination attempt, while the arrival of Lady Arabella Stuart, the King’s ambitious cousin, threatens to ignite a new power struggle. Will her proposed marriage to William Seymour, Duke of Somerset, be the spark that unseats the throne?
At the Lady of the Lakes Renaissance Faire, history unfolds through live performances, costumed actors, and interactive storytelling — placing visitors right in the heart of royal intrigue.
🎭 Live Entertainment, Artisans & Family Fun
Beyond the courtly drama, the festival brims with music, laughter, and craftsmanship. More than 50 artisans populate the shire, demonstrating trades and selling handmade goods such as:
- Sculptures, jewelry, and pottery
- Swords, leatherwork, and medieval attire
- Candles, corsets, kilts, and other handcrafted treasures
Guests can also enjoy:
- Stage shows and musical acts throughout the day
