Lake George Renaissance Fair 2026

The Lake George Renaissance Fair 2026 takes place on October 10–11, 2026, at Moose Hillock Camping Resort in Fort Ann, New York, near Lake George. The two-day festival features jousting tournaments, sword-fighting entertainment, medieval music, wizardry, a Renaissance marketplace, and activities for children. Visitors can explore the resort’s medieval-themed setting, encounter knights and royal characters, and enjoy a program of performances throughout the weekend.

Costumes are encouraged but not required. The event is part of the autumn calendar of Renaissance and medieval festivals in New York.

The fair takes place over a single weekend, with entertainment scheduled throughout both days. The final listed performances begin at 5:00 PM.

⚔️ Jousting, Medieval Entertainment, and Activities

The festival brings together a variety of medieval-inspired performances and interactive experiences, with activities taking place in several areas of the resort.

The Royal Joust

The Royal Joust is one of the weekend’s principal attractions. Visitors can watch knights compete in the Tournament Field, with two performances scheduled each day.

Jousting times: 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday.

Knights Armory Demonstrations

The Knights Encampment hosts demonstrations of medieval armor, providing visitors with an opportunity to discover the equipment associated with knights and armored combat.

Daily demonstrations: 9:30 AM, 11:30 AM, and 2:00 PM.

Trebuchet Demonstrations

The Tournament Field also hosts demonstrations of a trebuchet, the medieval siege engine used to launch projectiles.

Daily demonstrations: 10:00 AM, 2:30 PM, and 5:00 PM.

Medieval Music and Live Performances

The entertainment lineup includes several returning acts and performers:

  • Wandering Monsters: Bardic music performed in the Great Hall.
  • Dr. J.R. Whitcomb: Medieval Whip performances in the Great Hall.
  • Juggling Jim: Jest & Trickery performances at Sword in the Stone.
  • Wizards Magic Show: Magic performances in the Great Hall.

Family Activities

Families can participate in several activities in the Knights Encampment and other festival areas.

  • Maypole Dancing: 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM daily.
  • Knighting Ceremony: 12:30 PM and 3:30 PM daily.
  • Children’s Story Time with the Queen: 1:30 PM and 4:30 PM daily.
  • Ye Olde Pony Rides: 9:30 AM–5:00 PM daily, available for an additional charge.

The Renaissance Festival Market is open on both days from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, providing visitors with an opportunity to explore the fair’s marketplace.

Food is also part of the festival experience, with refreshments available during the weekend.

🏕️ Moose Hillock Camping Resort

The fair is held at Moose Hillock Camping Resort, a camping and RV destination in Fort Ann, close to the Lake George region of upstate New York.

The resort serves as the setting for the event’s Tournament Field, Great Hall, Knights Encampment, and other entertainment areas.

The fair also coincides with the resort’s Columbus Day Weekend, running October 9–12, 2026. The Renaissance Festival itself takes place only on October 10 and 11.
