⚔️ Jousting, aerial circus and Renaissance entertainment

The arena program is one of the central features of the weekend. The Knights of Mayhem, led by world champion jouster Charlie Andrews, are scheduled to perform two shows each day, bringing heavy-armor jousting to the Pathfinder Park arena. The team has been associated with the National Geographic series Knights of Mayhem, which followed modern full-contact jousting and its competitive revival.

The faire will also feature 3 Ring Aerial Circus, led by Master Dragonfly of Dragon Dojo, with aerial acts scheduled across both days. Visitors can expect a wider Renaissance market atmosphere with musicians, performers, craft vendors, and one-of-a-kind artisan wares. This makes the event a relevant addition for readers following august 2026 events and other Renaissance Fairs across the season.

🏰 Pathfinder Park

Pathfinder Park is a Fremont County venue located west of Florence along State Highway 115. The site includes an arena and event facilities, making it suitable for large outdoor gatherings, livestock events, festivals, and arena-based performances. Its open layout is especially important for the jousting shows, which are expected to be one of the strongest draws of the weekend.

📍 Florence, Colorado

Florence is a statutory city in Fremont County with about 3,800 residents. Incorporated in 1887, it was named after the daughter of founder Senator James McCandless and is historically known for early oil discovery west of the Mississippi River, as well as for the immigrant communities that shaped its local development.

The city sits in Southern Colorado between Pueblo and Cañon City, close to the Arkansas River corridor and the Royal Gorge region. Its location makes it accessible for visitors coming from Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Denver, and the wider Front Range.

🚗 How to get to Florence

Florence is mainly reached by road. From Denver, the usual route follows I-25 south toward Pueblo and then US-50 west. From Colorado Springs, visitors can travel south on State Highway 115 toward the Florence and Cañon City area. From Cañon City, US-50 connects directly east toward Florence.

For bus travel, Bustang Outrider service connects regional communities through the Alamosa–Pueblo corridor, with Cañon City added as a stop in 2026, giving non-drivers a nearby transit option.

There is no regular passenger rail station in Florence. Air travelers generally use Colorado Springs Airport or Pueblo Memorial Airport, with onward travel by car or regional ground transport.
