The Great Lakes Medieval Faire and Marketplace 2027

The Great Lakes Medieval Faire and Marketplace returns to Rock Creek, Ohio, on Saturdays and Sundays from July 10 through August 22, 2027. Set in the wooded village of Avaloch, the faire combines medieval-inspired entertainment, artisan shopping, interactive games, and food in a setting inspired by the 13th century.

Dates and Opening Hours

The faire opens for seven weekends, with no weekday opening:

• July 24–25, 2027
• July 31–August 1, 2027
• August 7–8, 2027
• August 14–15, 2027
• August 21–22, 2027

Opening ceremonies begin at 10:45 AM. Gates are open from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with the Finale in Song at 6:15 PM. The faire operates rain or shine.

Explore the Village of Avaloch

Avaloch brings together a woodland medieval setting, costumed characters, stage entertainment, and a marketplace of handcrafted goods. Games and rides complement the performances, while food vendors provide places to stop between activities. The communal Pub Sing is another established feature of the faire.

The event began in 1993. Its medieval atmosphere is a modern recreation, with the fictional village providing the setting for a summer tradition in northeastern Ohio.

2027 Gate Admission Prices

• Adults ages 13 and older: $25.
• Adult weekend pass: $40.
• Adult season pass: $100.
• Children ages 5–12: $10.
• Child weekend pass: $12.
• Child season pass: $38.

Parking and Visiting with Pets

Parking costs $5 per vehicle. Accessible parking is available near the entrance for vehicles displaying the appropriate permit.

Leashed pets are permitted with a completed registration form and a $5 fee per animal. Owners must clean up after their pets and keep them away from animal exhibits. Pets cannot be left in parked vehicles.

From Cleveland or Erie, follow Interstate 90 to Exit 218 at Geneva, then travel approximately 7 miles south on State Route 534. From Youngstown, take State Route 11 north to US Route 6 west, then follow State Route 534 north toward the fairegrounds.
