Statesboro Renaissance Festival 2026 will take place September 26–27 at the Bulloch Agricultural Complex in Statesboro, Georgia, with full-contact jousting, horseback archery, sword-fighting competition, aerial performances, pirates, live entertainment, merchants and food. Officially presented as the Statesboro Renaissance Faire, this will be the second annual edition, following a debut that attracted more than 3,500 visitors.

⚔️ Full-Contact Jousting with Knights of Valour

One of the headline attractions will be Knights of Valour, the full-contact jousting company led by Shane Adams. The troupe performs competitive-style mounted combat with armored riders charging one another with lances rather than presenting a purely theatrical demonstration. Their 2026 touring calendar independently confirms Statesboro for September 26 and 27 at the Bulloch County Agricultural Complex.

The jousting program marks a major expansion from the first edition and gives the festival a traditional centerpiece associated with larger Renaissance fairs.

🏹 Horseback Archery with Architect of Arrows

Architect of Arrows will bring mounted archery to the arena. Riders perform at speeds of up to approximately 20 mph while shooting multiple targets from horseback, combining riding skill with rapid archery.

The Athens School of Arms returns for Double Barrel Classic II, a sword-fighting championship built around Historical European Martial Arts. Competitors use techniques drawn from historical European fighting traditions, providing a sporting counterpart to the mounted action taking place elsewhere on the grounds.

Sword tournaments were already among the central attractions at the inaugural festival, where HEMA competition featured alongside Viking battle demonstrations and other medieval activities.

🎪 Aerialists, Whips and Pirate Entertainment

The 2026 entertainment lineup extends well beyond armored combat.

Vertigo Valkaries will present an aerial performance built around acrobatics and suspended movement, adding a circus element to the program.

James Whipper is scheduled to perform a high-energy whip-cracking act combining precision and showmanship.

The Pirates of Curse Corner will also appear with the pirate adventure show Treasure Island, led by characters Frigg and Frac. The pirate component continues the festival’s approach of mixing Renaissance history with fantasy and unconventional entertainment.

🎭 Live Entertainment Throughout the Grounds

🛍 Renaissance Marketplace and Food

Merchants will be an important part of the festival grounds. The organizer is accepting artisans, craftspeople and other sellers offering handmade products, themed merchandise and related goods. Food vendors will operate alongside the marketplace.

The first Statesboro event featured more than 85 craft vendors and around ten food trucks, giving the marketplace a substantial role in the visitor experience.
