VikingsCon 2026

VikingsCon takes place on November 7–8, 2026, at the Charles County Fairgrounds in La Plata, Maryland. The event brings together Viking history, Norse culture, reenactment, and fans of the television series Vikings, combining a festival setting with elements of a fan convention.

⚔️ Viking Encampment and Marketplace

The Viking Living History Encampment introduces visitors to everyday life during the Viking era. Reenactors demonstrate historical activities, and attendees are encouraged to participate as they explore the village.

The Great Hall marketplace features vendors selling drinking horns, clothing, furs, collectibles, and other Viking-themed merchandise. Food and beverage vendors will also be available on-site.

A Viking-style feast is included exclusively with the Berserker VIP pass. Overnight camping is available separately through the Ragnarok Encampment add-on.

🕒 Opening Hours

• Saturday, November 7: 10:00 AM–6:00 PM.
• Sunday, November 8: 10:00 AM–5:00 PM.
• VIP admission: 9:30 AM on both days.

On-site registration operates from 9:00 AM–4:00 PM on Saturday and 9:00 AM–3:00 PM on Sunday. Arrive before registration closes: gate ticket purchases and wristband collection for online bookings are unavailable afterward.

🎟 Tickets and Prices

• Saturday admission: $35.
• Sunday admission: $25.
• Full weekend admission: $55 for both days.
• Children ages 12 and under: free with a paid adult.
• Berserker VIP: $90, with limited availability. Includes admission 30 minutes early on both days, VIP lines, priority panel seating, and one admission to the Viking Feast.

Gate admission costs more than the listed advance prices. Standard tickets may be purchased on arrival while available, but VIP passes are not sold at the gate.

Ragnarok Encampment

The $65 Ragnarok Encampment add-on provides a 10 ft × 15 ft campsite for one tent and up to two people on Saturday night. Each camper must also hold an admission pass valid for at least Saturday.

Camping must be reserved in advance; spaces will not be sold at the event. Bring your own tent and supplies. Period-style tents are encouraged but are not required.

Charles County Fairgrounds is located at 8440 Fairground Road, La Plata, MD 20646. The venue has indoor and outdoor spaces used for the event.

Parking is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis. The fairgrounds are accessible to visitors with disabilities. Attendees may leave and reenter with the appropriate wristband or badge.
